Collegedale Academy International Students

Collegedale Academy is authorized under Federal law to enroll non immigrant students.

Collegedale Academy provides a diverse population to the students on our campuses. We have many international students. Federal, state and local standards require a separate admission process. Please consult with the registrar of each schooling level for details and questions on international student enrollment.

High School

(Grades 9-12) Must live with parent or sponsor

There is a $1,000 fee for all international students the first year with a $200 fee for each additional year. Foreign Students will be considered for admission after the following sequence is complete:

1.Complete an Application for Enrollment to CA (this app fee is non-refundable)

2. Provide scholastic transcripts

3. Take an English proficiency test:

  • TOEFL Junior Test with a total score of at least 750
  • TOEFL - Intermediate Level: 60 out of 120 for the four sections.
  • iTEP Academic - 3.5 minimum score in each section (iTEP may be scheduled at your convenience. Less expensive option.)

4. Return the application materials, transcripts and the following:

  • funding affidavit, housing affidavit, application fee, and English test score to Collegedale Academy.

Materials to send to Collegedale Academy:

  • Transcripts--official transcripts from institutions previously attended.  These should include all courses that should be considered on the high school level.  Transcripts are sent to AERC for translation to the U.S. system of credits.  Credits determine grade level.
  • Funding affidavit—the individual(s) responsible for the student’s tuition, fees, and living expenses must write a letter and provide bank documents indicating proof of funds.
  • Housing affidavit—the applicant must provide proof that living arrangements have been made. Students must live in a family setting. A shared house/apartment with college students does not constitute a family setting.
  • SLEP/TOEFL Junior or iTEP scores—Collegedale Academy requires a combined score of at least 47/750 or 3.5, respectively. We do not have an ESL program; therefore, students must score well on the SLEP/TOEFL Junior or iTEP to indicate academic readiness.
