Mission Trips
Mission Trips
Each year, our high schoolers have the chance to participate in international mission trips, combining evangelism, music ministry, and service through medical and construction projects. These experiences provide invaluable opportunities for students to grow in their faith and make a real impact in the world.
Construction & VBS Mission to Kenya: Empowering Futures
A Life-Changing Opportunity in Africa
From March 9–21, 2025, twenty-five Collegedale Academy students traveled to Kenya to partner with the Oloosinon Comprehensive School, Kensington Hall Girls Secondary School, and Africa Mission Services. This mission is dedicated to empowering the Maasai community through education and humanitarian service, and CA students will play an active role in this transformative work.
Building a Better Tomorrow
Our team will assist in crucial construction projects to support the Kensington Hall Girls Secondary School, ensuring more girls have the opportunity to pursue their education and dream of brighter futures.
- Dormitory Roofing: Students will help install the roof of a new dormitory that will accommodate nearly 100 students. Boarding school provides safety from early marriages within the Maasai community, creating a path for girls to achieve their goals.
- Dining Hall Completion: We will assist in painting and finishing the interior of a new dining hall, a vital space for fostering community and providing proper meals and community events.
- Rainwater Catchment System: Students will help install a rainwater collection and storage system to support the school’s water needs, ensuring sustainability and hygiene.
Afternoon Ministry: Vacation Bible School
In the Afternoons, our students will host a Vacation Bible School program for the children on campus and in the surrounding community. Through stories, songs, and activities, they will share the love of Christ, bringing joy and hope to the children.
A Unique Blend of Service and Adventure
In addition to their impactful service, students will have the opportunity to experience the natural beauty and wildlife of Kenya. The group will enjoy two safaris, exploring the stunning landscapes and encountering magnificent animals in their natural habitat. These safaris will offer students a chance to unwind, reflect, and connect with the wonders of God’s creation.
Partnering with a Powerful Mission
The Oloosinon Comprehensive School is deeply committed to community development and relief among the Maasai tribe. Through hosting volunteers, they provide opportunities to engage in impactful service while supporting the education and growth of local students.
Transforming Lives, Both Near and Far
This mission trip to Kenya is more than a service project; it’s a chance to change lives—both for the people we serve and for the students who experience the joy of making a tangible difference. Through this partnership, we are helping to build a future where education opens doors, empowers dreams, and glorifies God.
Medical Mission Trips: Serving with Purpose
A Journey of Service and Impact
Every other year, Collegedale Academy students have the unique opportunity to participate in a medical mission trip, designed to:
- Provide care to medically underserved populations in third-world countries.
- Offer students hands-on experience in the medical field.
- Above all, glorify God through compassionate service.
Student Participation and Training
Participation is selective, with priority given to juniors and seniors. Applicants must complete a thorough application expressing their desire to serve. Once selected, students undergo seven training sessions (1.5–2 hours each), where they learn skills such as:
- Taking vital signs and conducting basic medical tests.
- Assisting with simple procedures and suturing.
- Managing prescriptions in the pharmacy.
In the field, students always work under the guidance of adults, ensuring their safety and confidence while making meaningful contributions.
Life-Changing Stories
Our mission trips not only transform the lives of those we serve but also deeply impact our students.
- Saving a Life in Panama: During a trip to Panama, students identified a young girl with a glucose level of over 700—dangerously high. Thanks to their training, they acted swiftly, notifying the doctor and facilitating her emergency care. Today, she is thriving with proper diabetes management.
- A New Beginning: In another instance, a young boy with a growth on his head had been ostracized by his peers. The medical team removed the growth, giving him newfound confidence and a heartwarming smile.
These experiences often inspire students to pursue careers in healthcare, with some even returning as professionals to serve on future trips.
