Inspiring Creativity and Confidence

At Collegedale Academy, the Visual Arts play a vital role in developing well-rounded students. Our program encourages creativity, self-expression, and critical thinking, helping students build confidence and refine their artistic abilities.

Through hands-on exploration, students discover their unique artistic voice while gaining skills that apply to a wide range of careers—from graphic design and architecture to medicine and engineering. The Visual Arts program equips students with a lifelong appreciation for creativity and the ability to see the world through a thoughtful, imaginative lens.

Elementary

From an early age, students engage in weekly art classes where they develop foundational skills in a hands-on, creative environment.

Middle

In middle school, art becomes an elective option, allowing students to explore their creativity through drawing, painting, and special projects. The middle school also hosts quarterly art contests, with winning designs proudly displayed in the school.

High

At the high school level, students delve deeper into art theory, technique, and diverse media, from sculpture and design to stage production. Throughout the year, students showcase their work in public displays and collaborate with other departments, such as music, on-set design and stage management for performances.

Whether through painting, sculpture, or graphic design, Collegedale Academy’s Visual Arts program offers students a platform to explore their creativity and develop skills that will enrich their lives.
