This is an amazing trip, and the kids love it. Pray for good weather because there are rides outside that the kids love. We will leave at 8 AM and arrive home between 4 and 5 PM. We will have a text sent to let you know when we are an hour away. This is a long day for everyone, so a prompt pick-up is greatly appreciated. I am looking for 10 parents willing to be chaperones for this trip. The museum is large and widespread, so smaller groups are much easier to deal with. If you would be willing to go Your child may wear jeans/school shorts/skorts and a red school polo shirt. If your child does not have a red one, another school polo is fine. It is helpful to be able to quickly scan for red shirts when we are on field trips. Please pack a lunch that CAN BE THROWN AWAY with your child's name on it. The bus is parked far away, and it is too difficult to bring back.

11- 8th Grade Class Trip
Mid: 8th Grade Class Trip May 11, 2025 - May 13, 2025 Cincinnati, OH, USA WHAT TO BRING for 8th GRADE CLASS TRIP – The following is a guideline for the class trip. Please try not to bring too many extra items with you. We will have limited cargo space. Besides, who wants to carry a whole bunch of stuff around? DRESS CODE: Dress comfortably. Make sure that your shoes are right for walking. Remember, we will be walking a lot, so make smart choices. Flip-flops may be great for the bus ride, but will not be a good idea for roller coasters, volleyball, etc. You must wear shoes with a closed toe for King’s Island amusement park. Clothing with inappropriate or offensive wording is not acceptable. Bring socks to wear with bowling shoes. Girls’ shorts MUST have an inseam of at least 5 inches. They cannot cut up higher on the side, but must be the same length all the way around the leg. (Female chaperones will have a ruler so that length can be verified before girls leave their hotel rooms.) Tennis skirts with built-in shorts are not approved. Girls may wear sleeveless tops with straps at least 1 inch wide on the shoulder – no spaghetti straps allowed. Crop top shirts are not acceptable. You should be able to raise your arms without your bare tummy showing. Girls may wear yoga pants as long as their shirt comes down to the top of their legs. These rules apply on the bus ride as well as all daily activities. Concerning swimwear, boys and girls alike may want to wear shorts and shirts made for water sports when we go to the water park. Sometimes, water slides can be rough on the skin. All swimsuits must be modest. All students, please bring a swimsuit cover-up to wear as you walk through the hotel to and from the water park. Ladies should be careful about swimwear with high-cut legs, and low-cut backs and necklines. Two-piece suits are fine as long as girls wear a dark colored tank-top or other shirt over them. No bare tummies, please. All chaperones have the authority to ask students to change clothes if your choice appears not to follow the guidelines. Check with one of the teachers if you need clarification at any time. CHAPERONES: We appreciate your willingness to take an active role in this trip. This means that all adults are also agreeing to abide by the rules established for the students such as dress code, curfew, etc. Thank you! OTHER ITEMS: Medications should be checked with your chaperone. Parents, please give any special instructions to the adult who will be in charge of your child’s group. Incidentals like sunscreen, sunglasses, ball cap, and fun games for the bus like Rook, Apples to Apples, UNO, might be good to bring along. WHAT NOT TO BRING: With the safety and privacy of students in mind, no cell phones, computers, iPads or their equivalents will be allowed on this trip. Every student will be with an adult at all times. Chaperones will have a phone and will gladly allow students to call home to check in with parents when they feel the need. Adults will also be taking lots of pictures to document the trip. These photos will be shared with your historian. If any unapproved electronics are found – even if they are not being used – they will be confiscated. There will be a $50 fine for each confiscated item. Personal music players may be used with earbuds, but content must be appropriate for a CA school function. Money. You may want to bring a little cash in case you decide to play an arcade game or buy a personal item. Remember, though, that all your expenses will be covered. The school is not responsible for any lost or missing property. Add to your calendar • | 12- 8th Grade Class Trip

Add to your calendar - Semester Exam Week
