HOW AM I GRADED?

This project is worth 200 points. These points are distributed as follows:

A. THE “PACKET” (120 points or 60% of grade)

1. Were all instructions followed exactly? (35 pts)   
2. Were all the assignments handed in on time? (35 pts)
3. Was the quality of the work excellent, satisfactory, fair or poor? (40 pts)
4. Was it neat?  (10 pts)

B. THE PAPER (80 points or 40% of grade)

1. How is the introduction?  Is it catchy, interesting?  Do you provide enough background information so that the reader understands where you are coming from? Is your thesis statement clearly presented? (10 pts)

2. Does the content of the paper follow outlines and support information? Do you prove you thesis statement? (Steps 4; 6a & 6b) (20 pts)

3. How is the paper written?  Is it excellent, satisfactory, fair or poor? (10 pts)

4. Is it in the proper format? (40 pts--all 5 pts except last 2 = 10pts each)
    --typed, DS, Times New Roman, 12
    --proper header (name & page#)
    --proper beginning, including name/sect./date/title
    --at least 3 pages
    --including works cited page (p.4)
    --in MLA (parenthetical) style
