Tentative Summer Reading
Book List and Info Sheet
Official list will be available after May 2012

Summer reading has taken on a new look. This is basically how it works:
1. Pick ONE book--your choice from the list below.
2. Read it!
3. Write a one page reflection paper answering one of the questions below.
4. Due Date: August 17, 2012

Default Font
Unless a teacher specifies, the default font for all typewritten papers is Times New Roman
size 12, double-spaced. Paper margins should be 1 inch top/bottom/sides and MLA format is
required for citations and works cited.

Book Choices
John Bunyan, Pilgrim's Progress in Modern English (either first half of book (Christian's
experience) or last half (Christiana's experience)
Shane Claiborne, The Irresistible Revolution
Susi Hasel Mundy, A Thousand Shall Fall
Craig Kielburger & Keven Major, Free the Children
Ellen White, Steps to Christ or Steps to Jesus

Reflection Paper Questions
Pick one question and write a one-page reflection on that question. Be as specific as possible to
show your teacher that you have read the book and thought about it.

1. How has this book changed your thinking or view on life?
2. What kind of message does the author want you to get from this book/story?
3. What do you remember most about this book/story? Explain.
