CAYA Basketball Highlights

Andrews Basketball Championship

The CAYA JV girls were the champions of the Andrews University Cardinal Classic Basketball Tournment February 8-10, 2012.  The girls went 3-1 in the round robin part of the tournament, losing to the Indiana Eagles in a very close game 39-37.  Ironically, the same two teams met in the championship on Saturday night with the CAYA girls winning 35-20.  Coach Jamie Hall did an excellent job with the team. 

The CAYA JV boys had a great tournament winning all of their games in the round robin part.  In the championship game on Saturday night, CAYA went up against Atlanta Adventist Academy- Minnesota campus and AAA was able to hold off our guys and win that section of the tournament. 

The Battlefield team also played and finished with a three win, two loss record.

CA attend WAU Music Festival

Under the direction of Mr. Lindquist, eight CA students were able to attend the Washington Adventist University Instrumental Festival this past week.  Our students were able to attend numerous workshops as well as being able to take in some of the sites in Washington.

Fiddler on the Roof
